Why a proxy is needed at all
Taobao and Weidian checkout generally requires a mainland Chinese phone number, a domestic payment method, and a domestic shipping address. Most indie ateliers also run limited batches that close in days, and many will not answer questions in English. A proxy solves all four: we already have the accounts, the payment rails and the address, we watch the release windows, and we read the listing so you do not have to. What you get instead is a single US-dollar checkout and one parcel.
How an order actually runs

You order at a fixed US-dollar price
Every piece in the archive is listed at a final price in USD with the fee breakdown itemised on its product page. There is no separate quote step and no currency surprise — you are not paying a percentage of an unknown total later.

We buy it in China
After your order is confirmed we purchase the piece from the atelier at the vendor price, using our own domestic accounts and address. If a release has already closed or the maker cancels, the order is refunded rather than substituted.

It is inspected before it leaves
The piece arrives at our domestic address first. We check it against the listing — construction, stitching, boning, the measurements on the size you chose — and photograph any discrepancy before anything ships onward.

It ships to you as one parcel
Once checked, the piece is forwarded to your US address. Ordering several pieces together consolidates them into one parcel and one set of sourcing and inspection charges rather than one per item.
What you are paying for
A proxy price is the vendor price plus the work of getting the piece out of China. That splits into a sourcing charge for making the purchase, an inspection charge for checking the piece on arrival, a flat platform charge, and international shipping. Each product page itemises all of it against that specific piece, so you can see the vendor price and the service cost separately before you commit. Ordering multiple pieces on one order consolidates the sourcing and inspection charges, which is why a garment plus its matching accessories costs less bought together than separately.

What is proxy shopping, or 代购?
A proxy buyer purchases an item in its home market on behalf of someone who cannot buy it there directly, then forwards it internationally. The proxy is a buying and logistics service, not the seller or the manufacturer — the piece is made by the atelier, and the proxy is how it reaches you.
Why can I not just buy from Taobao myself?
You can, if you have a mainland Chinese phone number, a domestic payment method and a domestic address. Without those, checkout will not complete. Some listings also ship only within China regardless of payment method.
Do you hold stock?
No. Every piece is bought after you order it. This is why a listing can be withdrawn if the atelier closes a batch, and why we refund rather than substitute when that happens.
Can you source something that is not in the archive?
Yes — that is what the sourcing request form is for. Send the listing or a description, and we come back with a quote. Nothing is charged until you accept it.
Are you affiliated with the brands you carry?
